torrevieja is a coastal town located south of Alicante, known for its powerful attraction and its tourist homes. It is located in the surroundings of a place of high landscape and ecological value on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, known as Las Lagunas de La Mata and Torrevieja.
distant views towards this natural landscape, a recently built urbanization in which there are still no neighboring buildings, a pronounced topography and a complete triangular-shaped block constitute the context in which Balzar Arquitectos and Julia Alcocer have designed the Mirasal residential complex.
the Salinas de Torrevieja are the most important in Europe not only for their productivity, but also for their beauty. The pink lagoon produces an effect of fascination and hypnosis in the visitors for its peculiar tonality. The pinkish color is due to a bacterium that releases a pigment in waters with high saline concentration.
these tourist homes in Torrevieja, solve the implementation in the plot adjusting to its perimeter to create a large garden inside. The building seeks to harmonize with the topography, matching the slopes of the natural terrain. It is an architecture with the will to express itself as a whole, whose plasticity is given by its horizontal proportions and its white materiality.
the interior space presents a warm and simple atmosphere, resolved with a palette of light tones with a predominance of white and beige and with some notes of black to balance the composition.
