the housing renovation is located on the top floor of a rationalist building built in the 1960s in the city of Orihuela.

from it you can enjoy beautiful views over the treetops of the Glorieta just in front of you. In the distance are the Callosa and Orihuela mountains.

the house has three bedrooms and a large living room with open kitchen. The bedrooms fall on the secondary facades and the most public area of the house occupies the entire facade facing the Glorieta. This last space is characterized by having a very elongated proportion. Reinforced even more by the arrangement in the longitudinal axis of a spectacular element that acts as a kitchen island and dining table.

the process of transforming the home has included the two ingredients that we consider fundamental to making a good design: time and a great team.

on the one hand, we have enjoyed time. The time necessary for the solutions to be well-tuned and have a certain depth. Time to enjoy the process and achieve a precise build.

on the other hand, we are aware that making architecture is a collective fact. A large number of people are involved from the initial design phases to final delivery. From the clients who have the enthusiasm and need that gives rise to the project, to the people who carry out the final cleaning of the work, so that everything is impeccable. This has been one of those times in which the talent and good work of each of the parties has meant that our work as architects has been limited to acting as the thread that unites the pearls.
