Recently, the projects “Apartment in Ciscar Street” and “GVFC Apartment” by the architecture studio Balzar Arquitectos have been awarded the Yuan Ye Awards 2020 in China.
Since 2010, the Yuan Ye Awards organisation has brought together students and architects from architecture schools and studios around the world. One of the main drivers of the competition, organised by China Landscape Architecture, has been to foster creativity and enhance the international influence of designers. Its aim is to inspire urban renewal, promote urban development, and bring together and showcase some of the most outstanding ideas and designs worldwide, highlighting the importance of design in society.
Each year, the awards ceremony brings together hundreds of specialists, academics and designers to share ideas and give them global visibility. This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the awards ceremony and symposium will be held online through a video format, in which we will present and explain the project in detail.
The award also includes participation in a two-day summit held in Beijing, China, where our studio has been invited to give a lecture as part of the Yuan Ye Awards 2020 programme.
