The designer homes in Alfinach are in a highly prestigious residential area with gently sloping land and views of the mountains. The houses are in an excellent location in a housing development close to the centre of Valencia next to large areas of green and the mountains. It is a quiet neighbourhood where you can enjoy a peaceful life.

 

Distribution

 

On the ground floor, each of the homes has a combined living and dining room with a built-in kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom. A sculpture-like spiral staircase makes the best use of space and leads to the first floor, which has two en-suite bedrooms and a large terrace with views of the pool and garden.

 

The challange

 

The challenge of this project was creating 180 m2 homes in very long plots while also distancing them from the edges of the plot and ensuring privacy from the neighbouring houses and gardens. The chosen strategy involved a curved design that shelters residents and prevents them from being overlooked by neighbours, also achieving a lighter sense of proportion and volume.

 

Materials

 

The designer homes of Balzar Arquitectos in Alfinach use materials that respect their surroundings, local tradition and the environment. We used natural materials in the houses, predominantly stone in the outdoor paving and wood indoors. This creates a calm, peaceful atmosphere with a colour range that includes whites, creams and browns.
