the place
Berlanova is a place where landscape, architecture and art merge to create a unique experience. Inspired by the principles of wabi-sabi, a Japanese concept derived from simplicity and authenticity, the project reflects the search for elegance in natural materials and the fusion of timelessness with tradition.
The interior spaces open into a protected and controlled outdoor space. This courtyard, which is a traditional resource in Mediterranean culture, has the capacity to generate a cool microclimate through the introduction of sheets of flowing water.
The path to the house follows a cinematic sequence in which the volume appears and disappears behind the vegetation, allowing visitors to discover the building from different angles and distances. At the end of the path, the house appears by surprise in front of a reception plaza, which enhances its beauty and symmetry.
The large longitudinal pool extends along the symmetry axis of the house, extending as much as possible to intertwine with the landscape and capture it.
In the interior spaces, natural materials such as stone and wood have been used to create a warm atmosphere.
